Air travel between Quetta and Iran has resumed after Iran Air flight IRA 0827 landed at Quetta International Airport from Zahedan this week, returning with 80 passengers.
A delegation of the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce arrived on the first flight. They were received by Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Jangiyan Dashti Baloch, former chamber presidents Muhammad Ayub Miryiani and Jumma Khan Badizai, and Quetta Airport General Manager Khalid Kakar.
Flights linking Quetta with Zahedan and Mashhad were first launched in December 2025 but were later suspended due to the regional situation. Traders in Balochistan welcomed the restoration, saying it will make business travel easier and strengthen cross-border trade between the two neighbours.
