The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution calling for the Jinnah Train service to be extended from Kuchlak to Yaro Railway Station, along with a new 12-km track from Yaro to Pishin.
The resolution was moved by JUI MPA Syed Zafar Agha. He said the Quetta-Kuchlak service had given commuters an affordable and safe way to travel, while thousands of students, employees and patients from densely populated Pishin travel to Quetta every day without convenient transport.
The resolution asks the provincial government to take up the project with the federal Ministry of Railways. No cost estimate or timeline has been announced yet.
