Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has directed the Balochistan Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (B-TEVTA) to provide vocational training to 25,000 young people and prepare 30,000 skilled workers for overseas employment by next year.
At a review meeting, officials acknowledged delays in implementing the Chief Minister's Youth Skill Development Programme, and the chief minister ordered action against those responsible. An online registration portal for technical and vocational institutes is now operational.
Officials were also told to keep training market-oriented, so that it matches what employers in Pakistan and abroad need, and to tighten oversight of vocational institutes.
