Members of the Balochistan Assembly have voiced serious concern over killings, abductions and unsafe highways across the province.
Sardar Abdul Rahman Khetran said the bodies of two brothers were dumped in Barkhan after they were allegedly taken by a banned group, and that bridges on the N-25 highway had been destroyed in blasts. Zamarak Khan Achakzai said opium cultivation was spreading in Qila Abdullah and that hundreds of police posts in his constituency were vacant. Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch said highways were no longer safe, and raised the abduction of women over marriage and family disputes in Kalat and Khuzdar.
Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai summoned the DIGs concerned to appear before the House with FIRs. Home Minister Ziaullah Langove said new police stations and additional personnel had been provided in Qila Abdullah. The House also passed the Balochistan Water Resources Management Bill, 2026.
